Also first on the list is to make it play better.  To us, that means making it easier to play, making  it ring loud and true, making sure the intonation is perfect.  You can't have perfect intonation if you play an A note at the open position or 5th fret or 2d fret, or 7th or 10th or 12th and not have them all be the exact same note.  We make sure you can..on every note.  You don't want to fight a guitar with bad action.  Sure, a good setup is important, but taking into account what is important to advanced players benefits every player; straight, flat necks, even jumbo frets, 24.9" scale length short enough to make the guitar a joy to play but long enough to support amazing tone.

These are the things that keep us up at night and the T90D Limited edition is the culmination of our timber dreams. Genuine abalone and Mother-of-Pearl is subtly applied to the top, fretboard, headstock, and heel make the T90D one of a kind.

The Classic Dreadnought.  It's the first guitar most builders ever make.  The Dreadnought has stood the test of time for 100 years since the first of their kind, named after battleships of its day, were built by the CF Martin  company in 1916. The "Dread" is the first guitar many of us fall in love with.

At Timberline®, we respect and honor that tradition, but at the same time find that we cannot resist advancing the state of the art.

"What's to do-It's just a dreadnought?" one might ask.  What we do at Timberline® is first make it sound better by using proven design elements with quality100% solid  timber components.  Backs, sides, soundboards, all 100% timber.  No laminates...no sound deadening plywood. Solid soundboards-Sitka Spruce, Western Red Cedar, and on this flagship guitar, Solid white Engelmann Spruce.
